Coastal Family Medicine Welcomes New Nurse Practitioner to Serve Patients
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., December 15, 2016 - Coastal Family Medicine welcomes Brooke Brown
to their practice. Brown is a board-certified advanced registered nurse practitioner who holds certifications in electronic fetal monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, advanced cardiac life support as well as S.T.A.B.L.E training for neonatal care.
As a student researcher through UF’s Honors Program, Brown contributed to a ground-breaking research study focused on combat veterans.
Before joining Coastal’s primary care team, she was a labor and delivery nurse at Orange Park Medical Center and a Cardiac Step-down nurse with St. Vincent’s Medical Center.
“Ms. Brown is a great addition to our growing practice at Coastal Family Medicine,” said Coastal Family Medicine lead physician Michael Edwards. “Our goal is to offer the best possible care for our patients and having Ms. Brown here helps us achieve this.”
Brown received her Master of Science in nursing as a family nurse practitioner from the University of North Florida. In her undergraduate studies at both UNF and the University of Florida she excelled with honors. Brown was also the recipient of the Walgreens Fellowship Scholarship and a member of Sigma Theta Tau.
